If you have completed Year 12 and you have never studied at higher education (e.g. university) level, you are eligible to apply to most courses. If you have completed Year 12, but have also studied at higher education level, your eligibility will depend on how much higher education level study you have done.

Adelaide University
Medical Studies/Medicine (including Bonded Medical Program)
- If you have studied at higher education level for any period of time, you are not eligible to use your Year 12 results.
For all other undergraduate programs
- If you have studied at higher education level for a total of two years or less, you are eligible to use your Year 12 results.
- If, however, you have studied at higher education level for a total of more than two years, you are not eligible to use your Year 12 results.
Charles Darwin University
Clinical Sciences/Doctor of Medicine
- Only considers year 12 studies within the last 2 years.
Clinical Sciences (double degree with Flinders University’s Doctor of Medicine (MD) in the Northern Territory)
- If you have studied at higher education level for a total of one year or less, you are eligible to use your Year 12 results.
- If, however, you have studied at higher education level for a total of more than one year, you are not eligible to use your Year 12 results.
For all other undergraduate courses
- You are eligible to use your Year 12 results regardless of any amount of higher education level study you have done.
Flinders University
Clinical Sciences/Doctor of Medicine
- If you have studied at higher education level for any period of time, you are not eligible to use your Year 12 results.
For all other undergraduate courses
- If you have studied at higher education level for a total of two years or less, you are eligible to use your Year 12 results.
- If, however, you have studied at higher education level for a total of more than two years, you are not eligible to use your Year 12 results.
Eynesbury, Tabor College and Torrens University Australia
You are eligible to use your Year 12 results regardless of any amount of higher education level study you have done. Tabor College will consider applicants with an ATAR. Torrens University Australia will consider a successfully completed year 12 qualification such as the SACE. Some Eynesbury College courses will also consider completion of Year 11 or Year 12 (or equivalent).
