Fees are subject to change depending on the type of courses you are applying for and the date you submit your application.
TAFE SA applications are free.

The fees payable for midyear and summer semester apply when you include midyear or summer semester courses only in your preferences. If you add a semester 1 preference to your application any time after 30 September 2024 you will be charged a higher fee.

Current Year 12 students
To be eligible for the lower current Year 12 processing fee, you must be enrolled in one of the qualifications listed below and provide your Candidate ID number before saving and submitting your application:
• South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)
• Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET)
• ACT Senior Secondary Certificate (ACT SSC)
• NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC)
• Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE)
• Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE)
• Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)
• Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE)
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma

If you need to sit the Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) in support of an application for a TAFE SA Bachelor degree course, STAT fees will apply.
If you are applying for a higher education level course through TAFE SA and you need to sit the STAT, contact SATAC for more information.
There are a few options for paying your SATAC fees.
Pay online
You can pay online using a Visa or Mastercard.
Pay in person
You can print a tax invoice from your application which you can then use to
- Pay at any Australia Post Office using POSTbillpay
- Pay in person at SATAC using EFTPOS, Visa or Mastercard
SATAC does not accept cash payments.
SATAC does not waive or refund fees. Make sure you check the details of your application so you are aware of the fees and charges that apply.
Payment of SATAC fees does not guarantee that you will receive an offer to a course.
