Applying through SATAC
Registering with SATAC
If you have not used mySATAC to apply for courses before, you will need to create an account, which can then be used to start your application.
You should register using an email address you will have regular and ongoing access to (i.e. do not use a school email address). Not only will you use this email address to login to your mySATAC account, SATAC will send you important information about your application via email. If you miss an email from SATAC, you may miss key details about your application or offer.
Applicants can register a mySATAC account prior to applications opening to familiarise themselves with the application process.
Inside the application
You will need to provide a range of information in your application. We will ask you to provide details about yourself and your qualifications and list the courses you want to apply for. Our privacy policy outlines the personal information we collect and what we do with it.
Once you have registered or logged in to mySATAC, the basic steps of an application are:
- Read and accept the terms and conditions of the application
- Complete the personal details page
- Choose your course preferences
- Provide details about your qualifications and experience (if requested)
- Check your application is complete and accurate, then submit
Undergraduate, postgraduate and international applicants must complete every section of the SATAC application, even if you haven’t done every type of study. You won’t be able to submit your application until you complete and save all required sections.
Accessing an incomplete application
If you can’t complete your application in one sitting, you can log out at any time and return later by logging in with your details.
Submitting your application
SATAC will confirm that you have submitted your application by emailing you an acknowledgment.
Check your acknowledgment and let SATAC know immediately if you spot any errors. Your email will also contain your SATAC reference number. Your SATAC reference number is a unique nine-digit number used for identification purposes, so it’s important that you keep a record of it.
