International applicants

If you are an applicant on an International student visa 500 you do not apply through SATAC. 

For details on how to apply for TAFE South Australia courses contact TAFE South Australia International on + 61 8 8463 5487 or freecall (in Australia) 1800 049 492 or visit the TAFE SA website.

Holders of most other visas can apply through SATAC, however, eligibility to study and tuition fees will be determined at enrolment.

To check eligibility before applying please email admissions@tafesa.edu.au and include your visa number and subclass if relevant.

Applicants under 16 years of age

If you are under 16 years of age you can't yet apply for TAFE SA courses through SATAC. 

South Australian law states that young people aged 6 to 16 years are of Compulsory School Age and must be enrolled in and attending school full-time. Between ages 16 and 17 the same law requires you to be in full-time education or training, or employed full-time.

27 November 2018 Undertake the CSPA by this date for results to be considered in the early offer round.
30 November 2018 November offer round. Early offers for some courses, first preferences only.
14 December 2018 Equal consideration closing date for competitive course preferences. Submit your application by this date to be guaranteed equal consideration in the first January offer round.
14 December 2018 Undertake the CSPA by this date for results to be considered in the first January offer round.
2 January 2019 Change of preference deadline. Course preferences cannot be added, removed or re-ordered in submitted applications from midnight until Monday 7 January.
2-7 January 2019 Offer round processing. SATAC prepares for the first January offer round. Some services will be unavailable for short periods.
7 January 2019 First January offer round. Offers available online.
16 January 2019 Change of preference deadline. Course preferences cannot be added, removed or re-ordered in submitted applications from midnight until Monday 21 January.
16 January 2019 Last day to undertake the Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA) for results to be considered in the second January offer round.
17-21 January 2019 Offer round processing. SATAC prepares for the second January offer round. Some services will be unavailable for short periods.
21 January 2019 Second January offer round. Offers available online.
25 January 2019 Offer round processing. SATAC prepares for the third January offer round. Some services will be unavailable for short periods.
28 January 2019 Third January offer round. Offers available online.
Tuesdays Undertake the CSPA by Tuesday each week for results to be considered in the upcoming Friday offer round.
Fridays Further offers made each Friday from 1 February for courses with vacancies.
