Sitting the STAT for courses starting in 2017

Eligibility to use STAT in South Australia and the Northern Territory
Results from the STAT Multiple Choice can be used to compete for entry to most undergraduate courses in South Australia and Northern Territory. To find out if you are eligible to use results from the STAT for entry to your preferred course(s) check if:
- your preferred courses have a special entry subquota, and
- you are eligible for consideration in the special entry subquota.

If you are applying for courses outside South Australia and the Northern Territory you should check your eligibility to use the STAT with the institution providing the course, or with the tertiary admissions centre in that state.

STAT fees and payments
The fee for the STAT Multiple Choice is $125.00 but an additional fee of $70.00 is payable for late sittings of the test and for individual sittings held in remote locations.
The fee for the STAT Written English is $125.00 but an additional fee of $70.00 is payable for individual sittings of the test. You will require an individual sitting if your application is late or you are unable to attend a scheduled test sitting in Adelaide.
Your place in a STAT sitting is not confirmed until you have paid the fees owing for the STAT.
Payment can be made by credit card online at the time of application. Alternatively, you can print a tax invoice which can be paid at an Australia Post outlet or posted to SATAC with a cheque or money order. You can also pay by EFTPOS at the SATAC office. Cash payments are not accepted. Fees paid to SATAC are not refundable.
If you arrange a STAT sitting with SATAC for an interstate application you will be expected to pay at the time the sitting is booked.
