There are Tertiary Admissions Centres like SATAC in most states. Contact details are below.
If you are enrolled in the SACE or the NTCET in 2017, you will be able to obtain the interstate equivalent of the SATAC Guide from your school.
South Australian and Northern Territory year 12 applicants are assessed and selected in the same way as local year 12 applicants when they apply interstate - any subject prerequisites must be satisfied and then, for courses where selection is based on academic merit, the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is used as the basis for selection. To assist in this process, selection authorities use, as a guide, a common index which allows comparisons to be made across all states.
Information on postgraduate courses managed by interstate Tertiary Admissions Centres is available on the centres’ websites.
Note: Applications for undergraduate courses at Charles Darwin University in the Northern Territory are managed by SATAC.
